Terms of Use

HVAC Tech Companion ("the app", "we", "us") is a field reference and diagnostics tool for HVAC technicians. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your license to use the app is governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms of Use supplement that agreement; where they conflict, Apple's standard EULA controls for App Store distribution.

• Some AI-powered features require an optional auto-renewable Pro subscription, offered as monthly or annual plans. Current prices are shown in the app before you purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.

The app provides reference information, calculators, and AI-generated guidance intended for trained HVAC professionals. This information may contain errors and is provided for convenience only. Always verify results against manufacturer documentation, applicable codes, and safe work practices. You are solely responsible for the work you perform.

AI features (such as nameplate decoding and the voice assistant) generate answers automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. AI output is not professional advice and must not replace your own judgment, training, or manufacturer guidance.

• Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, resell, or interfere with the app or its services.
• Do not abuse AI features, including attempts to circumvent usage limits.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, equipment, or property, arising from your use of the app or reliance on its content.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We will revise the effective date above when changes are made. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
