I can't install the beta

  1. Make sure you're on an iPhone — the beta doesn't run on Android or iPad.
  2. Install the free TestFlight app from the App Store first.
  3. Open the invite link on your iPhone (not a computer) so TestFlight can catch it.
  4. If TestFlight says the beta is full or the link expired, email us and we'll get you in.

The nameplate decoder gives odd results

  1. Wipe the plate and retake the photo straight-on with the plate filling the frame.
  2. Avoid glare — shade the plate with your hand or body if it's in direct sun.
  3. Check the confidence rating; low confidence means retake the shot.
  4. Still wrong? Email us the photo — real-world plates are how we improve it.

The voice assistant isn't responding

  1. Check that the app has microphone permission: Settings → HVAC Tech Companion → Microphone.
  2. AI features need an internet connection — the offline tools work without one, but the assistant doesn't.
  3. If you ran out of free AI uses this month, the counter resets on the 1st (or go Pro for unlimited).

The app is acting up or froze

  1. Swipe up and close the app fully, then reopen it.
  2. Check TestFlight for a newer build — most fixes ship as updates.
  3. If it keeps happening, email us with your iPhone model and what you were doing when it broke.
